The great wind conditions render Lake Achensee a very popular destination for paragliders. A wide range of tandem flight offers makes this special adventure accessible to everyone. Enjoy a magnificent flight over 900 metres in altitude with a breathtaking view of the peaks of the Rofan and the Karwendel mountains.
Launch and landing sites are operated by the Aeroclub Achensee. Use of these sites is possible for a fee, which is payable at the bottom station cash desk. There are two launch sites on the Rofan:
In the field behind the roundabout (Lärchenwiese), large meadow near Café Klingler in the village centre (windsock!), no. 3 on the Rofan map

The team of highly motivated paraglider pilots celebrates the joy of flying and is happy to pass it on to as many people as possible who are interested. Since the passengers’ safety is paramount, we undertake detailed preparations so that the flying experience can be enjoyed all the more. Not only the flight instructors’ know-how, but also the material used is up to date. All of this makes it easy to take off in one of the most beautiful flying areas in Tyrol.
